May 18th – Jean Toussaint – 8pm

We’re delighted to be able to host one of the true legends of jazz here at the EDT: Jean Toussaint joined Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers alongside Terence Blanchard while studying at Berklee College. Since then he has toured with Horace Silver, McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones etc. Now resident in the UK Jean is a multi award-winning musician. Book early for this one! Details and tickets.
May 19th – Shane Forbes Quartet – 8pm

The multi-award winning and highly sought-after drummer Shane Forbes will be joined by old friends Lewis Wright, Nathaniel Facey and Tom Farmer to perform a night of original jazz, based on expression-based improvisation. Details and tickets.
May 20th – London Tango Quartet – 4pm

Expect a rich repertoire of tango from this ‘orquesta tipica’, all members of the largest professional tango group in the country. With musicians from Argentina, this electrifying ensemble has performed at prestigious music halls across the country and has also starred on ITV’s Mr Selfridge. More info and tickets.

Just look at this bunch of reprobates! Only come to this gig if you like dirty jazz grooves, filthy funk, evil beats and so on. The Filthy Six has played with some of the biggest names in music including Amy Winehouse, Jack White, Mark Ronson, The Foo Fighters, Robbie Williams and Duran Duran.
